I always knew I could draw. I learned about art at an early age, I would sit at my grandmother’s easel and look in her art books. She oil painted like a master and I loved her work.  Life's irony: I never took any lessons from her. Although I earned a degree in engineering; pursuing art is in my God given DNA. I have over 40 years experience in engineering, project management and sales in the engineered equipment and oil and gas industries; I managed successful projects which safely met schedule and budget expectations. Along the way I started to paint using oil. I studied Oil Painting at the Glassel School of Art and continued by studying with some of the nation's most successful professional artists.  With my engineering background, I gravitated toward vehicles, industrial, architectural and oil and gas subject matter. I earned the prestigious Museum Purchase Award at the 2019 EnPleinAirTEXAS event. I am continuing to put in the mileage; the never ending pursuit of growth and improvement.
