John Gilbert is a plein air watercolorist, a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Fine Arts who has participated in juried art shows, receiving honors and awards and has done commission work. He is an active member of The Florida Watercolor Society and The Watercolor Society of North Carolina. He groups up with plein air painters in Florida and North Carolina. Twice, he has been selected as poster artist for Tarpon Springs and Maitland, FL juried shows.
