Joanne Willoughby

Joanne Willoughby

I’m originally from Minnesota, but consider myself a New Englander since I lived there most of my life. I moved to Pawleys Island 2 1/2 years ago.

I have been creating art since I was a child. When my daughters were in high school (15 years ago) I started taking classes in oils, and then pastels. I’ve had work in Juried National shows and won many awards at local Massachusetts art shows. I’ve taken many classes and workshops with many well known artists. I’m always striving to learn new things and improve my work.

I am a member of the PSA, the local pastel Society, Chalk and Paper (Low Country Pastel Society) the PPSCC, the CPS, the PSSC, and more. I have work in homes around the world and also work on commissions. My work can be seen in Art Harbor Gallery in Georgetown, and when it reopens, in the Manifest Design shop in Market Commons in Myrtle Beach, SC.
