One of my favorite pastimes is visiting museums. I love to see the artwork of the masters up close and personal. This privilege has been suspended during the pandemic. I often roam the galleries of museums watching people enjoying the art and grabbing the chance to photograph the moment. Renoir is one of my favorite artists. I found this young girl staring at Renoir's "The Daughters of Caulle Mendes" painting years ago and I finally found the time to paint this wonderful image. It is an honor to create his image along with mine. This special linen, Senso linen, requires layers and layers of paint. As the layers dried, I added more details and impressionistic strokes. Creating this painting brought joy to my heart and soul.
