Several of my friends have died from the virus. It was quite intense here in NY. I am currently spending quite a bit of time with my family. We live in the Hudson Valley and have been taking long weekends up to the Catskills to swim and be in nature. There are very few people we encounter, so we feel like we are doing "isolation" in the best form possible - by being surrounded by nature. This painting is inspired by waking up in the early morning and arriving at the edge of the water, which was waiting to be splashed in and enjoyed. However, the beauty was too astounding, I had to capture it as best I could before getting in.
