Sunflowers always seem to brighten up a room and bring joy to those in it. I usually paint smaller pieces but as I had the 16x20 frame to fill, I chose this to paint. New England winters are cold. This year was made worse by being in a state that was an epicenter for the COVID virus. We were in total lockdown, with few retail shops open and unable to socialize with friends and family. Hoping these sunflowers will bring a ray of sunshine to anyone still feeling lonely and hopeless in the face of today's escalating troubles.
