My passions have always been creating artwork and riding horses. As an artist I work mainly from my home studio and occasionally on location, so working indoors is very normal for me. But COVID-19 has restricted me from enjoying my horse and being at the stable. In order to fill the void of not being able to be at the stable with my horse and my like minded friends, I created this watercolor of two wild horses of the Salt River Basin in Arizona. This painting depicts one of their favorite things to do, graze on the grasses that grow on the bottom of the river. The creation of "Salt River Grazing" helped me to once again connect my love of the horse to my love of creating art during a difficult time in our lives.
