I love portraiture and figurative work but when it became impossible to safely paint from live models due to COVID, I began setting up still lifes in the large windows of my studio. Even though I missed interacting with my subjects and other artists, I found so much joy in contemplating the simple beauty of a farm fresh egg and gazing out the window at the world we're all trying to keep safe.
