"Harmony" is part of my "Art in Isolation" series, created while in locked down. In this piece I used Venetian Plaster, acrylic and oils.

This is the very first piece where I felt like using purple on a large area. Usually I use this color in a highlight or a contrast, always in small quantity.

Purple is considered a spiritual color and I feel I may have been attracted to use it in such manner due to the additional isolation we are confined to, which is often rendered lighter due to reliance on spirituality.

I also wanted to create something that felt balanced and harmonious, something to bring some equilibrium and beauty to these trying times.
