I chose this painting because 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone. This year has provided us with an opportunity to reflect on what we've temporarily lost and to focus on what really matters in life. It has forced me to slow down, be still and appreciate the beauty in God's creation and to also enjoy the small, simple pleasures in life...such as a good book and glass of wine while watching the waves roll in on a deserted beach.
