When the pandemic hit, all my upcoming exhibitions and events were canceled and my galleries closed. Summer was right around the corner which is my busiest season. With all the anxiety and uncertainty surrounding the health crisis, I momentarily lost my sense of purpose. My motivation to paint was gone, I had little inspiration and this went on for at least a few months. Plum Island is one place on earth that never ceases to provide inspiration and my go-to for watching the sunset. This particular one was spectacular and a breakthrough moment after a long quarantine...my creative muse was back and I couldn't wait to get to the studio and capture the gorgeous summer blaze I had just witnessed.
