The dogs at Stray Rescue of St. Louis are happy to see you, even if you are wearing a mask. The shelter has been closed to the general public, but the very dedicated staff and regular volunteers keep the light in the dogs' and cats' eyes throughout this surreal time of COVID-19. Often my muse, the goings-on at the shelter offer endless inspiration, here, a volunteer spends time with Harris, the warrior dog, his story is one of anguish and hope, much like many of us are feeling during this time of isolation.
