I painted this painting in February before the escalating cases of COVID-19. The title “After the Rain” is fitting for encouragement as we travel through the pain, isolation and quarantine to a new day of hope and promise. To me, this painting expresses the tears of pain, the reflections of what was, and the moving forward to the hope of tomorrow.
