The plein air version of this painting was done the first week that the state of New York officially went on "pause." The realities and emotions that accompanied this seemed to live in the air, the zeitgeist of the day without even looking for it! This scene shows a nondescript plaza and parking lot with a few random cars, a place you'd pass by, or stop in if you needed something. The narrative of the painting casts the unseen players and their mysterious ways.
